Arcedium Coffeehouse is located just off Main St. in downtown St. Charles, IL. With almost 80 good reviews on
Yelp I figured they were worth paying a visit to. From my host houseing in South Elgin, I went for an easy 8 mile (each way) spin along the Fox River bike trail to get there. When I walked in the first thing I noticed about this spacious coffeehouse is the giant roaster right behind the bar, so I know I was in for a fresh cup. Turns out Arceduim roasts all their own beans in-house, available for purchase in the shop and
online.
I'm always excited when a coffee shop offers almond milk, rather than the standard soy, but to my surprise Arcedium even offered rice milk. I wasn't feeling that adventurous so I ordered my typical almond milk latte, along with a bowl of steal cut oats.
